The Application of a B2B2C Business Model on POI Guide in Technological Tourism
Tourism industry is paid attention by countries all over the world, and considered as the major growth industry in the 21st century. However, the present travel agents still only provide consumers with the traditional guide methods, such as paper guide manuals. The kind of guides, limiting to static text and picture, cannot provide consumers with more profound experiences. In the way of guide service, if the information and communication technology (ICT) and related products can be applied to the concept of tourism environment, not only help the tourism industry develop more value-added applications, but enhance the consumer’s usage and traveling desire.The guide in technological tourism, which base on the information and communication technology and related products, take point of interest (POI) as its content. The POI is belonged to the category of digital content. In the e-commerce transaction model, physical goods has been widely discussed and accepted, but delays in the digital publication is not implemented because of incomplete commercial transaction model of digital publication and protection mechanism of digital rights management. The study will refer to the mechanisms and standards of digital rights management and the concept of e-marketplace and use role-based access control for designing the business models for POI guide in technological tourism, which can suit a variety of trading scenario. And define what the participants and their roles to achieve the technological tourism. Provide innovative business model in technological tourism industry to enhance the competitiveness of Taiwans tourism industry and encourage the POI providers to create more content.
