Analyses on the Consumer Risk under Virtual Currency in China
With the development of online marketing, virtual currency, as a basis of online marketing, is growing, as a result, the virtual currency market of China is facing many opportunities; however, it is a type of electronic money in the virtual space, the virtual currency can bring consumers with risks. This paper aims at the analyses on consumer risk and its reduction in perspective of systematic view, and thinks that consumer risk under the virtual currency in China includes security risk originated from network operators, network security, and lack of regulations and credit, privacy leakage risk, inflation risk, and reverse-exchange risk. Consumer risk above involves the government, issuers of the virtual currency and consumers, so based on systematic view, this paper thinks the consumer risk can be reduced through strengthening the privacy protection, building a standardized system of exchange, constructing the many-level monitoring system and enhancing the awareness of consumers’ self-protection.
