Market Efficiency by Translation Memory Systems? Reduction of Transaction Costs due to Intelligent Translation Technologies from the Viewpoint of Global Acting Companies
New market requirements in the area of economic information and documentation have a great impact on foreign trade success of global acting companies. In this paper we briefly review new empirical research findings on the acceptance of Translation Memory Systems (TMS) and discuss the utility of TM technology for the reduction of transaction costs. We offer some details regarding the requirements of TMS and some advice on conducting empirical studies on product innovation in the area of open TMS software.
