Empirical Research of Ownership Structure and Governance Performance in Agricultural Product Processing Listed Companies
This paper selects 38 Chinese agricultural product processing companies to carry on the empirical analysis, it mainly studies the relationship of ownership structure and governance performance in China’s agricultural product listed companies. The findings indicate as below: agricultural product processing listed companies’ state-owned shares proportion and governance performance is negatively correlated; the corporate shares proportion and government performance assume the related correlation; the tradable shares shareholding ratio and governance performance assume the inverse correlation; the relation of ownership concentration degree and governance performance assumes inverted U-shaped curve. Based on empirical analysis, the paper gives some recommendations and countermeasures to improve the ownership structure and governance performance of agricultural product processing listed companies.
