Technology Change, Capital Accumulation and Total Factor Productivity Growth of Service Industry in China
This paper analyzes the growth of total factor productivity of the China’s service industry by means of non-parameter Malmquist index. The result of research is that in 1991-2005,the growth of China’s service industry TFP is 0.4%, technology change index is 3.2%, efficiency index of the technology is-2.7%, and the growth of service industry TFP due to the technology change, in the mean time efficiency of technology gives a negative impact to it; Growth of service industry TFP is different in east region, middle region, west region of China; Developing regions may catch up with developed regions through technology transfer.
