Empirical Research on Factors Affecting the International Competitiveness of Chinese Technology-intensive Manufacturing Industry

摘要：

In this paper, relating data about eight industries of Chinese technology intensive manufacturing during 1998-2007 were collected. With these data, factors driving international competitiveness of Chinese technology-intensive manufacturing were researched by panel data analysis. The results indicated that the international competitiveness of Chinese technology intensive manufacturing industry enter the period from driving by factors to driving by innovation. So it is negative for China to improve international competitiveness of technology intensive industry only by enlarging producing scale or importing technology. Independent innovation is only path for China to go.
