An Evaluation of the Development and Utilization Efficiency of Information Resources for Agricultural Websites ——Taking agriculture institutions’ websites in the west as ezamples
Based on existing evaluation methods of websites, the index system about evaluating the efficiency of agriculture institutions’ websites is constructed, and data envelopment analysis (DEA) is applied to evaluate websites of fifty-three agriculture institutions in western china. The result shows that the development and utilization efficiency of information resources is commonly lower for agriculture institutions’ websites in the west. Only forty-one websites in these agriculture institutions’ websites can be used. In forty-one websites, only eighteen websites are relatively valid, which take 43.9% of the total websites. Other twenty-three websites are relatively invalid, which take 56.1% of the total websites. And according to the analysis of invalid websites, some suggestions are put forward which can increase the development and utilization efficiency of information resources for agriculture institution.
