ANALYSIS ON THE FLOW FIELD OF GAS/AIR TWO-PHASE DETONATION IN PULSE DETONATION ENGINE

To study the two-phase detonation flow field, the viscous three-dimensional two-phase detonation models are built. We adopt the space-time conservation element and solution element (CE/SE) method to calculate the two-phase detonation. Through numerical calculation, the detonation pressure contours is analyzed and the development process of the detonation wave is obtained. Through analyzing different size of droplets having effect on detonation wave, we know that the larger the liquid radius is, the longer time detonation reaches steady. Through three-dimensional numerical calculation, we know that the pressure field inside the tube is three-dimensional variation during the deflagration to detonation. When it comes into being detonation wave, three-dimensional effect degenerates twodimensional. The conclusions give guidance and reference to PDE design and experiments study.
