PARALLEL COMPUTATION OF MUZZLE SECONDARY COMBUSTION INCLUDING MOVAVBLE HIGH-SPEED PROJECTILE

The muzzle flowfield is a multitude of physical and chemical processes key in high-speed, chemically reacting flow fields. The arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian equations and local remeshing method are applied to the study of numerical simulation of the chemical non-equilibrium combustion flow fields include movable projectile. Using time splitted algorithm, the convection term is solved with HLLc method and the chemical reaction is dealt with elementary reaction model. A parallel arithmetic based on MPI parallel environment on PC-Cluster system for the muzzle flow field is discussed. Muzzle flow field was computed with including movable projectile, the results indicated that the species fractions influenced on secondary muzzle flash onset and spread. The present code represents a validated, efficient and versatile tool developed for the simulation of muzzle flowfield.
