A LAYER COUNT ARITHMETIC FOR PENETRATION AMMUNITION WHICH BASED ON THE MEMS IMPACT SWITCH
A layer count arithmetic for hard target penetration ammunition fuze, which based on the high-g MEMs impact switch action in the course of ammunition penetrating hard targets. When the ammunition penetrates the hard targets, the MEMS impact switch sense the acceleration, and its mass block produced a displacement, when the acceleration disappears, the mass block vibrates at the balancing position, and attenuates by the air resistance till it becomes still. It can use 0-1 digital signal to express the state of the MEMS impact switch in the course of ammunition penetrating hard targets. The layer count arithmetic use the convolution function based on a window function and the MEMS impact switch action signal to distinguish the hard targets layer. The arithmetic avoids influence such as stress wave at a certain degree, and it is very adaptive to low velocity penetrating ammunition fuze.
