ANALYSIS OF INFLUENCE OF THE SINTERED LINER COMPOSITION ON THE SHAPED-CHARGE JET FREE FLIGHT BEHAVIOR AND ITS PENETRATION CAPACITY
Based on experimental data about penetrating capacity of shaped-charge jets formed from sintered liners reasons for wide range of properties that they demonstrate: from extra-long jets with high penetration capacity, to radial divergent jets with slight penetration, are investigated. Several operating mechanisms were pointed out. Evaluations of their competitive ability in terms of their influence on jet and, mainly, on radial motion of its particles were conducted. Jet stretching with restrained radial motion was investigated. As a result the most important mechanisms that predetermine free flight behavior and penetration capacity of a jet formed from composite sintered liners were found out.
