PRESENT RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ON MEASUREMENT TECHNOLOGY OF PENETRATING INTO HARD TARGET WITH HARD RECOVERY RECORDER

A compact and lightweight Shock data recorder has been developed and tested for real-time measuring, recording and recovery data after penetration testing. This new acceleration recorder has passed cannon testing and been demonstrated to function in shock environments up to 100,000Gs. After developed the engineering application of hard recovery measuring system, several engineering and technical problems have been solved respectively, including the power supply of the recorder during testing, adaptive adjusting the level of voltage in static state, reliable controlling the process of recording data, long time standing by with low power consumption, anti-electromagnetic disturber coming from testing environment, et al. The adaptability and reliability of this new acceleration recorder has been improved. The succeed rate of data callback has achieved 80 percent during tests loading with cannon, howitzers and rocker sled respectively. The next goal of this research is demonstrate acceleration recording capability to 150,000Gs in hard recovery tests.
