More Effective Quality Control With Delta bef Color Difference Formula
The time has come for digital imaging technology to make a qualitative leap, from reproducing a reasonable facsimile of an original, to ensuring the guaranteed stated accuracy of the reproduction. To achieve this transition, the technology needs advanced tools to enable accurate color processing, support unlimited color and dynamic range, and provide reliable methods to control the deviation between a source and output image. Unified Color Technologies has developed such a workflow based on a uniform color coordinate system called bef. The color difference formula bef, Δ is not only more precise than CIE DE2000 and simpler to calculate than delta E, but it also has none of the inherent limitations on dynamic range or lighting conditions that the others do.
