Syntheses and Application of Novel Acid Proliferation Generators: Resocin4arene as Core
The concept of acid proliferation of acid-sensitive compounds was first proposed by Kunihiro Ichimura and workers 1, defined as acid proliferation generator (APG), which generates acidic species in a nonlinear manner in presence of stimulation of minimal strong acid after being heated 1. APGs could be widely used in many fields, such as resist, computer to plate, polymerization and special indicator. Here a kind of novel acid amplifier with resocin4arene as core are proposed, which can be autocatalytically decomposed to liberate the corresponding 8 equivalent p-toluenesulfonic acid (TsOH) and result in the multiplication of the acid molecule. 2 new APGs have been designed and synthesized. Their structures have been confirmed by IR, 1HNMR. Their DSC, UV-vis absorption, thermal-stabilization and application in computer-to-plate as APG are studied.
