Synthesis of New Hybrid Monomers Containing Vinyl Ether and (Methyl) Acryloyl Groups
Titanium (Ⅳ) isopropoxide (TIPO) is used as transesterification catalyst, TIPO can be used for a variety of alcohols and esters catalyzed reaction, the use of the catalyst result in short reaction times and good quality products of excellent yield, without the formation of byproducts.in the present of catalyst, with methyl methacrylate and 4-hydroxylbutyl vinyl ether as reactant, 4-(vinyloxy)butyl methacrylate containing cationic and radical polymerizable vinyl groups was synthesized. The influence of reaction factors, such as ratio of ester to alcohol, amount of catalyst, time and temperature of reaction on the ester transesterification was investigated. On the basis of the experiments, the optimum conditions were given.
