Study on Generation of Threshold-array with Line Directions based on Space Filling Curve for Line-art Screening
To generate a screened image with linear micropatterns, threshold array can be used in the halftoning process. In order to make the direction of the micro-lines in the image have more varieties, Hilbert curve (Space Filling Curve) is applied to generate the threshold array and to control the directions of the lines in image. Macroscopically, the gray level of the generated line-art screened image is accords with the original image, while to some extent the microscopic effect is somehow like scrambled line-pattern.
