Design and Implementation of CMOS Digital Imaging System based on FPGA
The quality of image is determined by the CMOS imaging sensor system, whereas the visual effect of terminal display is decided by its transmission and storage systems which must be able to work accurately, steadily and rapidly. This paper presents a new imaging system with CMOS image sensor and FPGA hardware. And the key role of FPGA in the imaging system has been demonstrated. Besides, the architecture of the CMOS imaging system is depicted in detail, and the key hardware and software units are designed as an application. As a result the imaging system with FPGA is ultimately realized through debugging. The experiments show that the imaging system can be accurate, stable and efficient for the capture, transmission and storage for the image data.
