Influence of Inhibitor on the Curing Rate of UV-curable Flezo Ink

In the course of preparation, storage and usage of UV ink, the addition of inhibitor can prevent its self-polymerization. By adding inhibitor 510 and hydroquinone to the UV flexo ink at two different photoinitiator concentrations of 1% and 8%, and using infrared spectrum analysis to evaluate the C=C double bonds conversion rate of inks cured at different UV radiation energy, the effect of the type and content of inhibitor on the restraint of the ink’s polymerization was discussed. The study indicated that the type and content of inhibitor have a great influence on the curing rate of UV flexo ink, and the result was different at the two photoinitiator contents.
