Influence of the Pigment Dispersion on the Printability of Water-based Plastic Gravure Ink
Pigment dispersion is one of the important parameters of Water-based plastic gravure ink, which directly affect the printability. In this paper Water-based acrylic resin emulsion is used as binders, by changing the Grinding dispersal conditions to get the different ink samples, using the IGT printability instrument to get the proofs. Testing the printability of the ink sample, investigate the influence of the pigment dispersion on the printability of Water-based plastic gravure ink. The results indicated that with the pigment particles in the ink sample dispersed improvement and the reduced of pigment particles size, the viscosity of the ink is gradually increased, the color density of the print is increased, the gloss somewhat higher, the adhesion is obviously improved.
