DIELECTRIC STUDIES OF PVA: NH4F POLYMER ELECTROLYTES
In the present study, PVA: NH4F polymer electrolytes have been investigated using dielectric studies for gaining an insight into the ion conduction mechanism. It has been observed that at each frequency, a highest value of εis noticed for 15mol% NH4F doped PVA. On further increase of NH4F (beyond 15mol%), a low value of ε has been obtained which may due to the formation of ion aggreagates. The modulus spectra show an increase at higher frequencies which may be due to the bulk effect. The obtained relaxation time (from loss tangent spectra) decreases with increase of temperature revealing the increment in number of charge carriers required for conduction.
