FABRICATION OF LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 THIN FILM BY PVP-ASSISTED SOL-GEL METHOD
Layered LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 thin film was fabricated by PVP-assisted sol-gel method. The microstructures and properties of LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 films were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and galvanostatic charge-discharge testing. PVP added into the precursor has significantly effect on the surface morphology of the prepared films. Fitted quantity of PVP is effective on restraining the crack formation in the film. The interaction mechanism of PVP was discussed in detail. The prepared LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 thin film with 0.3M PVP has better electrochemical properties. The first discharge capacity is 40 μAh/cm2μm at the current density of 20 μAh/cm2 in the voltage range of 3.0-4.3V. After 50 cycles, the capacity is retained at 82.5%.
