PREPARATION AND ELECTROCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF CuFe2O4 BY CO-PRECIPITATION METHOD
Spinel-type ferrites CuFe2O4 was prepared by co-precipitation method. The as-synthesized materials had been sintered at different temperature (600 ℃, 800 ℃, and 1000℃) for 2 h. The XRD analysis indicated that the level of impurity of the final products depended on the annealing temperature. Phase pure and highly crystalline CuFe2O4 was obtained which was sintered at 1000℃. The electrochemical measurement showed that the variation of the annealing temperature affected significantly to the discharge capacity of CuFe2O4 electrodes. It was found that the first discharge capacity was enhanced by calcining at high temperatures. The CuFe2O4 synthesized at 1000℃ had higher first discharge capacity, which can reach the value as high as 1377 mAh/g.
