FABRICATION OF Zn3(VO4)2 AND ITS APPLICATION IN LITHIUM ION BATTERY
Well-crystallized zinc vanadium oxide Zn3(VO4)2 particles were prepared via annealing Zn3(OH)2V2O7nH2O in air atmosphere at 550 ℃ for 10h. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) image reveals that the as-synthesized particles are about 1 冚m in mean size. Electrochemical properties of Zn3(VO4)2 particles as negative electrode of lithium ion battery was studied by conventional charge/discharge test, which shows steady platform and high initial discharge capacity of 1337 mA h g.1 at current density of 0.1 mA cm-2, endowing it with potential application in lithium ion battery. Raman spectrum of Zn3(VO4)2 electrode after charge/discharge test reveals no obvious destruction of its crystal structure.
