IMPROVED HYDROGEN SORPTION OFMILLED MAGNESIUM HYDRIDE COMPOSITES WITH NANO-SIZED TiO2

905 The magnesium hydride composites with nano-sized TiO2 were synthesized to improve the hydrogenation properties of magnesium hydride. The results showed that the MgH2-(sintered C/anatase)0.05 displayed good hydrogen sorption, having 5.52 wt.% hydrogen in 10 minutes at 573 K and 4.85 wt.% hydrogen in 10 minutes at 473 K. From the XRD analysis, the improved hydrogenation performance of the composites came from the synergistic catalytic effect of carbon nanotube and TiH formed after de/hydrogenation cycles.
