RESEARCH ON THE COMPOSITES OF CARBON NANOTUBES AND VANADIUM OXIDE NANOMATERIALS FOR LITHIUM BATTERIES

Nano-scale vanadium oxide/carbon nanotubes (CNTs) composites were synthesized by a hydrothermal method. The surface morphology and structure of nanocomposites were characterized by SEM, TEM, and XRD, respectively. The results indicate that the CNTs enwrapped one dimension vanadium oxide nanomaterials. The electrochemical behaviors of this product were investigated by galvanostatic charge-discharge, CV and EIS. The first discharge capacity was 331 mAh/g and the capacity of the fiftieth discharge cycle could keep 70.0% vs. that of the second discharge.
