NOVEL MODEL OF HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE BASED ON SOLAR ENERGY INDUCED ULTRABATTERY

Most typical primary power sources are solar cell, wind generator, small hydro-turbines, which obtain energy directly form nature. Variability of solar activity, wind intensity etc. cause unstable power output of the primary source. The ultrabattery is a hybrid energystorage device, which combines an asymmetric supercapacitor and battery in a unit cell. Taking the best from both technologies without need for extra electronic controls. In present paper a new model of HEV is fabricated with the help of MATLAB/MULTISIM software and ultrabattery is proposed to be charged by using solar energy. Finally the performance of available HEVs, based on battery and/or capacitor/supercapacitor are analytically compared with present model.
