Mist-jetting Electrical Discharge Truing and Dressing Technology Combined with Mechanical Method on Metal-bonded Diamond Grinding Wheel
A new technology, mist-jetting electrical discharge truing and dressing technology combining with mechanical method on metal-bonded diamond grinding wheel, was proposed. Experiments on dressing metalbonded diamond grind wheels were carried out on a die-sinking electrical discharge machine. The influence of different electrical parameters on wheel dressing efficiency was studied. The results of electrical discharge dressing under different processing parameters were compared. Favorable surface topography could be obtained under suitable processing parameters. The Experiment showed that the proposed method is feasible. Further, the abrasion of truing tool was low and the life of diamond pen was improved.
