Research on NC Electrochemical Mechanical Machining Carbide Alloy

In order to solve the problem of machining hard-tocut materials such as carbide alloy, titanium alloy, high temperature alloy, stainless steel and so on, the research on NC electrochemical mechanical machining was done. With the specially designed composite cathode and its chuck, and high frequency pulse power supply, a five-axis high speed CNc engraving and milling machine was adapted to be a CNc electrochemical mechanical machining machine tool. The machine tool was used to do research on Nc electrochemical mechanical cutting, Nc electrochemical mechanical milling, Nc electrochemical grinding and NC electrochemical mechanical polishing carbide alloy. The ingredient of high efficient machining electrolyte and the process parameter are got at last. And the mechanism of Nc electrochemical mechanical machining becomes clear. The results of the study indicates that surface roughness of the work piece can get to Ra 0.02 μm, the circularity accuracy of the hole can get to 0.01 mm and the machining efficiency is obviously improved as compared with electric discharge machining (EDM).
