The Comparison of the Solow Residual of Regional Economic Growth in China
Since the reform and opening up, China has experienced rapid economic growth. However, the imbalance of regional economic development has been also growing. It can be found that the Solow residual is not obvious in Chinas economic growth by calculating relevant data. However, by cluster analysis we find that the Solow residual in economic growth of each provinces (or municipalities) vary significantly. To improve this situation, we need to change the investment-based development model, and gradually increase the rate of technical progress.
