Foundation and Development of New Energy in Jilin Province
New energy refers to the kind of energy form, which is outside of the traditional energy, including solar energy, wind energy, biological mass energy, geothermal energy, nuclear fusion energy, water energy, and sea energy so on. Along with the traditional energy becoming scarce day by day, the development and use of new energy obtains widespread attention from various countries, also the production scale and use scope of new energy is expanding unceasingly. Energy in Jilin province is relatively deficient, but as a big agricultural province, Jilin province has a perfect new energy foundation such as sufficient sunlight resources, rich wind power resources and straw stalk resources. Jilin province impels vigorously the development of local new energy industry, which has an important strategic effect in dealing with current financial crisis as well as climatic change, adjusting energy structure, continuing the sustainable development of energy, and promoting the international competitive power of Chinese energy.
