Study on Construction Countermeasures for Wuhan Sustainable Transportation

摘要：

Traffic congestion is increasingly serious in Wuhan. Developing sustainable transport is a realistic choice to solve it fundamentally. The deficiency of developing sustainable transport in Wuhan is analyzed and the long-term and short-term construction countermeasures for building sustainable transportation are put forward. Long-terM countermeasures are to form positive interaction among traffic planning, urban planning and land use planning, to pay attention to the investigation and public participation in traffic planning, to vigorously develop expressway and improve microcirculation capability of branch road, and to adhere to public transport priority. Short-terM countermeasure is to reform the existing conventional public transit, and the reforming methods are expounded in details.
