A Study on the Degree of R&D Internationalization and Its Affecting Factors

摘要：

Using the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 1998 to 2006, this paper firstly builds a system to measure the degree of R&D Globalization of 30 provinces through Principal Component Analysis; and then makes an empirical study on how and to what extent different local conditions affect the degree of R&D Globalization. The conclusion is as follows: the degree of R&D Globalization is consistent with the volume of foreign R&D investment and the eastern regions is higher than that in mid-western area; the degree of R&D Globalization is affected by FDI, local R&D resources and intellectual property rights protection.
