Appropriate Interventions of Local Governments to Regional Imbalanced Development--Take Jiangsu Strategies as a Case

摘要：

Taking Jiangsu as a case, this paper makes a detail analysis on the relevant policies of local government and their effects in Jiangsu province. It is pointed out that the public policies of local governments have positive action on the promotion of regional balanced development. Meanwhile there also has a tendency of over-intervention. Local government should not only strengthen public financial support to backward areas but also pay more attention to the policies integration, continuity and operability; intensify mutual benefits and concerted actions among regions; better utilize the market strength instead of Paternalism; improve public services so as to have higher efficiencies.
