The Reformation of Chinese Polytechnic Professional Teaching Force Construction-Based on the Revelation of NYPs Ezperience

This paper uses comparative study method, analyses the issue of teaching force construction, bases on the successful experience of Singapore Nanyang Polytechnic(NYP). The paper discusses the major shortcoming of our countrys professional teaching force construction, seeks to provide a detail reforM method. NYPs successful experience on teaching force construction includes six key points: A) Recruitment standard focuses on teachers enterprise experiences; B) Teaching and educating students, yet participating daily administration; C) Life-long learning, high level of quality requirements; D) More focuses on enterprise projects, less focuses on pure theoretical and scientific research; E) Linear performance assessment system; F) Non-sector teaM management style. The stated key points bring five revelations to our countrys polytechnic teaching force construction including: A) Surrounding polytechnics training objective, construct a teaching force with double-master experience in real sense; B) Teachers major responsibilities, teaching and educating students, participating departmental administration; C) Focusing on enterprise based research topics, supervising students to complete projects; D) Non-sector human resource management style; E) The management system allows teachers to be hired and fired, promoted and demoted. The goal of this research is to supply decision making reference to the construction of our countrys polytechnic teaching team with Chinese characteristics, in line with polytechnics personnel training objectives.
