Intra-firm Trade and Industrial Characteristics: An Investigation Based on Ezports from China to US

摘要：

Intra-firm trade accounts for almost half of international trade in developed countries; it has been an important part in international trade. This paper investigates the relationship between industrial characteristics and intra-firm trade. Based on export data from China to United States, we found that intra-firm trade ratio of capitalintensive products is higher than labor-intensive products; the more complicated the production process, the higher ratio of intra-firm trade; the higher productivity difference dispersion in the industry, the larger the scale of intra-firm trade.
