Directions in the Performance Research of Family Businesses: Consequences of the Contract and Strategys Multiplicity
As a difficulty and breakthrough in the field of family firm theory, the research of performance helps to expand many key questions of family firm research and the multiplicity of the firms contracts can revealed. The essence of the contracts of a family firm is that its a syncretizing of the family and the business, which makes it not fit to follow the former methods of the researching of performance in the field of non-family business. The appropriate form of a family firms performance may be the synthesizing of both the familys and the firms, and the indexes should include economic and non-economic ones, and this could help to reveal the heterogeneity of a family business.
