Issues and Coping Strategies in Development of Chinas E-sport Industry
As a means of recreation sports, E-sports is developing at an amazing rate worldwide and has increasingly become an industry with tremendous impact on current society. The paper describes current situations of E-sports development in China and its future development trend. Based on its current development, the paper analyzes the issues existing in E-sports development in China, such as social prejudice, failure in brand establishment, lack of commercial support and low degree of industrialization. It argues that, to achieve more rapid and better development of E-sports, it is necessary to regulate the E-sports cyber operation, establish the event with brand effect, cultivate professional athletes, promote events professionalization and eliminate social prejudice against E-sports. In addition, the government should strengthen its guidance and support on E-sports, and E-sports must follow the path of professionalized development. Only in this way can E-sports enjoy high potential for sustainable development and develops professionally in a healthy and rapid manner.
