The VoIP Model Research Based on finite birth-death processes in Multi-channel Wireless Mesh Networks

In multi-hop wireless networks, using single-channel with single-transceiver over MAC protocol will generate instability of TCP throughput and serious unfair phenomenon. Fortunately the situation can be greatly improved by the use of multi-channel model. In this paper, we established a model under limitedstate Markov chain, focusing on the channel utilization, average queue time and average queue length in a given client count and the number of channel available to analyze the VoIP Quality-ofService in detail. With Monte-Carlo Method to validate, we conclude that multi-channel model can significantly improve the overall of network capacity.
