Individual Encryption and Watermarking for Protecting Video on the Networks

A combined scheme of individual encryption and watermarking is presented to protect the copyright of the video programs on the public networks. The video program file is split into two files, one is the key file composed of DCTs DC coefficients in I-frames, and the other is a normal file composed of the rest. Then the watermarked key files are produced by embedding every users identity into the key file respectively. At last the key data file for a user is published after encrypting with the distinct content key from other users. In this scheme, the content key of one user is no use for others, and the cracker can be detected from the piracy copies according to the watermark embedded. At the same time, users can get the normal file from P2P networks with high speed.
