Empirical Study on Retention Factors in Performance Perspective of Malaysian Construction Industry Samples
Project managers who lead project teams are vital to sustained competitive advantage of construction organizations. Turnover of human capital seriously undermine organizational performance therefore, affecting its competitive advantage. In view of performance perspective, based on a combination of literature review and questionnaire surveys, this study extends to support the relationship between in the private and public sector: team relationship, job satisfaction, competitive package, investor influence, project size/complexity, communication, level of authority and intention to retention or turnover in MBA samples of Malaysia construction industry. With knowledge of these critical factors, this study hopes the industry can enhance talent retention by minimizing these negative factors which influent the project managers’ performance and understand the causes of turnover behavior.
