AHP-Based Weighting Factors Affecting Electrical Safety on Construction Sites
According to statistical data from 1990 to 1999, electronic shock accident accounts for 18% and is second highest among all casualty accidents in China. Compared to developed countries, such as America, the number of casualty and its proportion is much higher. So there is a big room for improvement with respect to temporary electrical safety of construction sites. Before taking measure, risk identification and factor weighting is necessary. AHP method is often used in the course of risk assessment in construction industry. It is a mature mathematical disposal of expert’s subjective estimation. This paper studies the application of AHP method to elicit knowledge from experts and formalize it into a set of weighted safety factors. It will help construction manager to improve construction safety.
