Project Delivery Methods Selection of Lump-Sum Contracting Projects: Uncertain Multi-attribute Decision Support Model

This paper presented a study on the optimization of proper project delivery methods selection for lump-sum projects. A proper project delivery method is in favor for the owners to control the projects targets and to guarantee the successful implementation of projects. Due to the complexity, uncertainty of the various delivery methods and the ambiguity of the decision makers’analysis extent, the evalution result derived through former decision-making models are often incomplete or imprecise. An metrics system for the selection is put forward, then an uncertain multi-attribute decision support (UMDS) model based on PD method, UEOWA operator and ULHA operator is set up for lump-sum contracting projects to select favorable delivery method. Finally, an example application for selecting the proper project delivery method using the UMDS model for an actual project is provided.
