Research on the Strategy of Energy Consumption Control of Public Buildings in Hot-Summer and Cold-Winter Region Based on LCA

Currently, the studies on the energy saving of public buildings are mainly focused on how to reduce the energy consumption in the using stage of buildings. With the further research on the building energy saving, green building, ecological architecture and the related areas of sustainable architecture, it is demonstrated that life cycle assessment (LCA) is a good method to evaluate the total energy consumption of the whole life cycle of the buildings and to assess its influence on the environment completely. According to the actual situation of the energy consumption of public buildings in the hot-summer and cold-winter region, the method of life cycle assessment is used to analyze the specific compositions of the building energy consumption at the each stage of the life cycle of public buildings and to investigate the distribution of the energy consumption among different stages of the life cycle of public buildings. Based on the analysis above, a basic strategy set of the energy consumption control of the public buildings in the hot-summer and cold-winter region is put forward to provide reference for the energy-efficient retrofitting practices and to improve the actual benefits of the energy efficient retrofitting of public buildings in the region.
