Driving Force Analysis on Urban Land Growth of Liaoning in the Process of Urbanization

摘要：

Under the background of urbanization process rapid development, the growth rate of urban land increase rapidly. In the paper, selected seven indexes reflecting urban land growth, which are population growth index (total population, urbanization rate—nonagriculture population/total population); economic growth index (GDP, social fixed assets investment, the proportion of the second and the third industrial output in GDP); life style and life quality of the residents index (urban residents disposable income, the area of urban green space); then the driving force of urban land growth were studied by using principal component analysis. The results showed that the mainly driving factors of urban land growth are economic development and population growth. In addition, the government decision has some influences on urban land growth.
