Appropriate City Size of Harbin in Terms of Population Quality

摘要：

Optimal city size and appropriate city size are the important academic and practical problems in the process of urbanization. It will provide the basis for the decision of city development that determining the appropriate size of a city. This paper uses theory of economies of scale, urban economics and the cost-return curve of city size for reference, a theoretical model between city size and population quality is established, then, a econometric analysis between city size and population quality is carried on by using relevant data of Harbin population quality, which results in empirical model of Harbin, furthermore offers corresponding proposals according to the results.
