Analysis on Uranium Resource Ezploration in Jiangzi Province :Perspective from Government and Market
With the development of nuclear energy, uraniuM resource now is receiving more attention from many governments. Jiangxi Province, which is very short of primary energy, is rich in uranium resource. During the period of The Tenth Five-Year Plan, Jiangxi provided 40% of Chinas total output of uranium. The Short Term and Medium Term Plan of Nuclear Energy, which was issued in 2006, provides Jiangxi Province a good opportunity to develop its nuclear energy. Uranium, as a strategic resource, has long been monopolized by the government. However, in order to adjust to the need of the development of worlds and China economy, marketing the exploration of uraniuM resource under governments macro-control will become a must.
