Ezploration and Practices of Management for the Buffer Zone of Provincial Boundaries of Yellow River Basin
The management of the buffer zone of provincial boundaries is one of key jobs in the management of Yellow River basin, and in this regard, YRBWRPB has carried out exploration and exercises, including the division of the buffer zone of provincial boundaries in the river basin, survey and research on basic conditions and water quality monitoring in the buffer zones, management on definition of boundaries and erection of boundary monuments, verification of assimilative capacity, sewage outlet to the river, control of total amount, and countermeasures against serious water pollution accidents, the regular release of Circular on Quality Conditions of Water Resources of Water bodies of Provincial Boundaries and Key Sections of Yellow River Basin, and the organization of Study on Protection Measures for Water Resources of the Buffer Zone of Provincial Boundaries of Yellow River Basin. The next focus is to strengthen the water quality monitoring and the information management capability building, to be oriented in the control of total amount of the pollutants discharged into the river, to enhance the emergency management on water pollution accidents, to carry out research on economic management on the interjurisdictional water pollution, to intensify the basin cooperation and information reporting, and to establish the supervision and management examination index system for the buffer zone of provincial boundaries etc..
