Preliminary Study on Ecological Bank (Island) Protection and its Impact on Flood Discharge
A coin has two sides, the same to building the Changsha junction. On one side, it is propitious for improving ship, generating electricity, water supply and water environment of Changsha City; on the other side, it will change the ecosystem balance, micro-climate, and bio-environment survival and reproduction of the original river channel. Based on the analysis technology characteristics of ecological restoration engineering at home and abroad, the preliminary idea was put forward about ecological restoration technology of bank and island, such as section shape, biology species, etc. And using physical model, it is studied about the relative impact between ecological restoration engineering and flood discharge. It has a reference for designing ecological bank (island) protection engineering and gets new dynamic balance of ecosystem in the Changsha reach of Xiangjiang River. The results provide research idea for protecting the health of the Xiangjiang River.
