Preliminary Study on the Risk Design of Embankment
Embankment safety relates to the large areas of downstream towns; transportation, mining, agriculture and other aspect s security. The scientific design ideas and right design methods can not only ensure the safety of embankment after its completion, but also will substantially reduce the cost of the project, optimize the allocation of funds, maximize the benefit-cost ratio. As a new design model, the generalized risk design of embankment is based on the accident probability and the consequences of the accident. Through a comprehensive evaluation of the embankment risk, it opens up a new way to the designers for the design optimization and scientific decision-making. In this paper, based on the estimate of the embankment risk loss and risk standard, the risk design process of embankment is put forward, which opens up a new idea for the embankment design.
