Study on Erosion and Infiltration Process of Grassland under Different Rainfall Intensities
Runoff, sediment and infiltration of alfalfa grassland were studied under rainfall intensities of 45 mm/h, 87 mm/h and 127 mm/h with 20°slope gradient using simulated rainfall experiment. The results showed that that cumulative runoff and sediment yields of alfalfa grassland had an obvious positive correlation with rainfall time. Under rainfall intensity of 45 mm/h and 87 mm/h, runoff and sediment of alfalfa grassland kept a tend of increase, decrease and a constant level. Under rainfall intensity of 127 mm/h, runoff and sediment of alfalfa grassland kept a fluctuant increase. The function of soil and water conservation of alfalfa was realized by changing soil filtration rate. Filtration rate of alfalfa grassland had a negative relation with runoff as well as sediment yield.
